Going Online | Live streaming - Taking You PT Fitness Online

Live streaming is very different from just posting workouts on YouTube etc. In the same manner that live tv is different from regular programs, and can be such a massive aspect of modern fitness services, you could potentially offer it as your only service.

So why is live streaming such a draw for audiences? There is definitely a psychological pull, a mix of fomo, the excitement that live videos create. Live streaming is happening now, it helps you be in the moment in a way catch-up does not.

Many people join gyms for the daily classes they have access to. With some people going 3 or more times a day and never seeing the inside if the actual gym! Most tend to go to at least one class per day. It takes away the need to plan an exercise routine, ( even when you provide people with a program, sometimes they come in and don’t know what to do) it also brings instant motivation, and is usually a little different each week.

Imagine brining all this to your clients as well as the convenience of exercising in their own home! Plus if they miss a class it is usually available on YouTube for them to catch up with.

You will need a basic camera set up, and a simple space with enough room to exercise. Some good considerations for cameras are:

Services

Depending on your chosen audience there are many different live streaming platforms to take advantage of. The most obvious being YouTube. Each has their pros and cons, and while YouTube is free, however you give up a certain level of control in using it. There are some notable other services apart from YouTube, such as Vimeo, Livestream, Instagram and Facebook live. Naturally you should go where your audience is, a few notable services for more professional audiences are linked in live video streaming.

One unique and cool option is to use mega  to store your video files then share & create workouts with your clients using its chat function to create an app based personal training solution with no major set up costs. Hosting is rather cheap compared to similar apps targeted at personal trainers.

Don't forget to have an interesting background for your video! inlcude interesting items or props, a good example is a good convas image like this : Whitstable beach drone arial shot
