Recommending products for walking

Walking and running are great exercises that you can start doing with little set up cost, it’s a great way to get your clients moving  direct them to these products for a great start (just copy and paste the buy now links into a message, post or email)

HUAWEI Band 4 Smart Band

Perfect for counting steps and tracking kcals burnt, and for around £20 it is a fraction of the cost of many smartwatches, while still doing everything you need to track and push yourself to your goals. It also supports SpO2 which keeps track of oxygen in the blood.

Ascics Trainers

It is vital to have comfortable well made shoes for running and walking. Too many times I have had a client tell me they don't like this kind of exercise because they have pains afterwards in different areas of their body. Most of the time this was the cause of inproper shoes and not the exercise itself. Ascics are roughly the best brand I have experienced and many of my clients recommend the most.

Hydration Belt

Staying hydrated is most important, especially in hot weather. Choosing a good belt that lets you keep some water with you is a good idea. It's also a good choice to have some form of glucose to help rebalance some your energy levels and replace the glucose that you will lose. This can be in the form of a few sweets like gummy bears, or you can choose those pouches of energy.

Setting up a mini gym: alternative equipment wii u

The Wii U was one of the most underrated fitness gadgets ever. But you can still grab one and on the cheap to add something more to your fitness routine.

No other fitness game or technology is as easy to get into and as fun as Nintendo's Wii Fit U. And personally i think will make a fun addition to any private gym or if you do your pt at home. They are only second hand so should be rather cheap to buy and then you only need a cheap tv to pair it with. Again buying these second hand should be a great way of adding something fun but different to your mini gym.  If you don't have a Wii U then get one here.

Wii Fit U

It’s time to get fit and take your exercise to the next level! Play Wii Fit U and check out a range of great new exercises that use the Wii U GamePad, Wii Balance Board or both, as well as some of the exercises you already know from Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. Available exclusively for Wii U, you’ll experience a work out that is as engaging and fun as it is effective when you buy Wii Fit U. Thanks to the unique combination of the Wii Balance Board and incredible Wii U GamePad controller, you’ll be able to take in all sorts of body training activities. In this release, Wii Fit U offers everything that made the original title a success but brings in new elements that improve on the series.  In addition, use the controller to run a Body Test, check your progress and keep track of your results and weight, as well as add photographs with the integrated camera that will help you chart your physical development.

You can pick up the game and the Balance Board, then you can play Wii Fit U games like Dessert Course, which challenges you to take steps and balance desserts using the GamePad like a tray. In Core Luge, you’ll need to sit on the board and tilt to negotiate the icy course, while Trampoline Target will ask you to lean carefully and land your character at the centre of the trampoline. The TV will show what height your Mii character is reaching, while the GamePad offers a bird's-eye view on its integrated second screen.

Extra Games for Fitness on Wii U

Not only are there a multitude of fitness games and activity games like just dance, but you can also pick up games to teach you how to draw, such as Art Academy. You can also download many, many brain training games to keep your mental health as tight as your physical health.

Action Cameras for Selling Personal Training Services

While you can use a smartphone to record good content for promoting your personal training services. It is always a better solution to have dedicated equipment when it comes to recording quality content. Action cameras a a great non-expensive way to record great content to boost your personal training sales. They can work in almost any location, or condition. Are more durable and rugged, you can record in water and they offer a quality video in a small size.

Go Pro Max

Great for VR and almost like having 2 GoPros in one. It acts as a regular GoPro to film your action plus you can also use it to film in VR so that you never miss a thing.

Go Pro Hero 8/7

The main GoPro to buy for most people, and more suited to activities like cycling, windsurfing, climbing & running etc. Sign up to GoPro plus and get all your videos stored in the cloud and money off all of their accessories.

Insta360

A popular brand of action cam, which has the benfit of having some very cool features. One being a modular design so you can customise to your needs. It can get expensive, which you might want to consider. Action cams should have a balance on price due to their main use scenario. If one breaks or gets lost you don't want to be buying another very expensive camera.

Osmo Action

A great option if you want to monologue like a villain, or want the attention focused on you during your action sports, due to the nifty screen on the front. Like the GoPro it strikes a good balance for price that all good action cameras find.

Action cameras can be a great way to really invest in a new sport or adventure activity. And these in turn are a great addition to any health and fitness routine. You can even use the above cameras to film your team sports or family exercise. You can even have a great time filming your workouts at home and then creating a cool youtube timelapse video of your tansformation.

Create a promo video To Boost personal Training Service Sales

Videos boost sales. This is why many major platforms are incorporating video as competition for peoples minds and money intensifies. Companies are turning to Youtube, TikTok, Vimeo and more in an effort to attract and convert customers. Take a look at product pages of some of the hottest products out now and there will be one or more videos showcasing what the product or service will give you.

In a nutshell - it's a good idea to have a promo video of your personal training service. I don't mean linking your favourite youtube upload. A promo video should be a short introduction that showcases your PT service.

First points to consider when creating a compelling promotional video
  1. Be Visually impactful - You need to grab and keep peoples attention. Don't worry about trying to recreate a cinematic video. It could just be you in front of the camera phone, but make sure there is something to grab the customers attention. Whether its your transformed body, the background scenery or your energy/ drive.
  2. Remember to include a call to action. Have your name, logo and contact info or website address at the beginning middle and end of the video - (3 is the magic number) This is super important, without a call to action people will just move on. So at the end of the video tell them to act now!
  3. Make it about what people want. People need to be emotionally moved or interested to buy into your personal training service. Link it to love, money, success or just how it will be a positive impact in their lives. Think about the best adverts that have convinced you to buy into something. It's the promise of better that will get your services in peoples minds.
Try not to get into the trap of constant re-edits if you are not happy about small details. Don't over edit, do it to the best of your ability and then put it out there. Many people get caught in similar traps and end up wasting months trying to get the perfect edit. It's better to get something up than have nothing for ages.

Secondary points to consider for a great Personal Training service promo

  1. Kill the accent. Some people may love your accent, but for others it can be difficult to understand. And we want to be as inclusive as possible. Also speak in a clear and steady manner.
  2. Be credible. Show different examples or evidence of your previous work.
  3. Keep it short. The first 30-60 seconds should have all the essential information to convince people should they skip or move on. The video itself can be as long as you like, but the essentials and call to action need to happen in 30 seconds.
  4. Before and after. If you have any before and after clips or images use them!
You don't have to spend a large amount of money on new equipment to film your promotional video, you can just use any smartphone or if you have an old promo video why not use a video upscaling service liek the one below

Do you have old fitness video files? Consider using a Video File Upscaling Service to remaster them in Full HD

Going Online | Live streaming - Taking You PT Fitness Online

Live streaming is very different from just posting workouts on YouTube etc. In the same manner that live tv is different from regular programs, and can be such a massive aspect of modern fitness services, you could potentially offer it as your only service.

So why is live streaming such a draw for audiences? There is definitely a psychological pull, a mix of fomo, the excitement that live videos create. Live streaming is happening now, it helps you be in the moment in a way catch-up does not.

Many people join gyms for the daily classes they have access to. With some people going 3 or more times a day and never seeing the inside if the actual gym! Most tend to go to at least one class per day. It takes away the need to plan an exercise routine, ( even when you provide people with a program, sometimes they come in and don’t know what to do) it also brings instant motivation, and is usually a little different each week.

Imagine brining all this to your clients as well as the convenience of exercising in their own home! Plus if they miss a class it is usually available on YouTube for them to catch up with.

You will need a basic camera set up, and a simple space with enough room to exercise. Some good considerations for cameras are:

Go Pro Creator

Mevo start live event camera

Services

Depending on your chosen audience there are many different live streaming platforms to take advantage of. The most obvious being YouTube. Each has their pros and cons, and while YouTube is free, however you give up a certain level of control in using it. There are some notable other services apart from YouTube, such as Vimeo, Livestream, Instagram and Facebook live. Naturally you should go where your audience is, a few notable services for more professional audiences are linked in live video streaming.

One unique and cool option is to use mega  to store your video files then share & create workouts with your clients using its chat function to create an app based personal training solution with no major set up costs. Hosting is rather cheap compared to similar apps targeted at personal trainers.

Don't forget to have an interesting background for your video! inlcude interesting items or props, a good example is a good convas image like this : Whitstable beach drone arial shot
